AMERITOUR 2001

In the Spring 2001 semester the Geography 3080-Geography of Latin America put on Ameritour 2001. Students were organized into teams of two or three and then chose a Central American or Caribbean nation out of a hat. The project was for each team to put together a tour package that would appeal to students, and included at least ten stops. The students created boards and brochures using maps and photographs and anything else they could find to make the tour attractive. The students from the Geography 1010-Developed World and Geography 1020-Developing World came to Ameritour 2001 and rated the various tour packages. It was a tremendous amount of fun and the students in the class really seemed to enjoy themselves.
